Choreographed for the 89th Annual Academy Awards, this performance featured Auli’i Cravalho and Lin-Manuel Miranda in a live rendition of Moana’s hit song “How Far I’ll Go.” Dancers used massive hand-held silk props to create dynamic, shape-shifting visuals across the stage—evoking ocean swells, blooming flowers, and sails in sync with the song’s emotional arc. The result was a vivid, kinetic backdrop that brought Polynesian mythology to life in a modern, theatrical context.
